This allowed the company to expand operations and move to a larger building in Mogadore, OH in Eugene Cornwell was a pioneer in the manufacture of hand tools for the servicing, repair, and assembly of automobiles in those early days. Our products are sold via mobile tool dealers across the country. Currently headquartered in Wadsworth, Ohio, Cornwell Quality Tools is a family and employee-owned company. Founded by blacksmith Eugene Cornwell. Opened shop in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
JVA Partners, a metro-Chicago based firm, is a strategic investment company that has acquired a number of manufacturing companies throughout the Midwest. One of its other holdings, Homak, is also in the tool storage business. JVA purchased Homak in Oct 7th, Jack Keough. Just need to check them out. Chadro Well-known member. I was just at another shop yesterday and one of the techs had a big ass blue Cornwell box, looked damn nice. Thats about the extent of my knowledge on Cornwell, I don't own any but I'm on the lookout for some.

I have found their sockets to be of good quality as are most of the tools they forge themselves. Like many other tool companies, they do have their fair share of re-badged tools.
But who doesn't. Kind of hard to beat a deal like that. Yes the impact is made by Professional Tool Products, but I have found that to be a good thing. When my dealer found out one of my apprentice Techs was being deployed to Iraq, and that I was going to build his tool collection while he was gone, Cornwell sent me a complimentary set of the same sockets for him to use when he gets back. That being said, kind of hard to bad mouth a company that will do that.
Since then I have bought several sets of the Witte screwdrivers and a Are they the best tool company for innovation and new products, no. But what they do, they do well. I'm glad I found them or should I say found me In our business, there's room for everybody and that means more to choose from, that's a good thing in my book.
Roots Well-known member. Joined Oct 31, Messages 1, I actually contacted them twice! Monthly Flier that they post online. I figured, I'd at least give them a try for some things. I still have not heard any response. Which might partly explain why they're not spoken of much or well, my likely pick of which company would be most likely to go under.
Granted, I believe they're family and employee owned, so their financial data is likely private. Perhaps they've found a small regional niche, and are content there. I'd actually still like to try some of their tools, support an old American brand, but I'm just at a loss with their business practices.

When I used to wrench, the Cornwell guy was the nicest and most reliable. I have also always like their blue colored tools. To me, they make good stuff that I'd like to own more of. Joined Aug 1, Messages Location Michigan. I have never had a Cornwell Truck visit any place I have worked and have only seen or owned a few of the black oxide tools for the most part. I got it at an estate sale with some Snap On. Like the ratchet I forget about Cornwell. I have seen only one Cornwell truck which was out back selling tools at a Belle Tire.

If the the last 3 snap on guys were like him I would be in debt to my eyes. Considering how hard I've pulled on that thing I'm way satisfied. I have a cornwell box and tool cart. My toolbox says made in USA. Not going to fault any of them for that. Cornwell is privately owned so financial's are closely held and not easy to find out, but it looks like they are in good shape from what little I've been able to find out.
If I wanted to sell tools I would look at at Cornwell dealership first and a Mac second.
