Anyway enough theory crafting for me tonight, and I'm not going to try and work out the magic find chance at any stage.
My best suggestion, is you either A don't care about magic find as you play and level up or B you do. Bottom line, if you've got magic find stats on any of your gear or your pets, you're probably sacrficing other useful stats. Imho, unless you really want certain sets of gear or uniques, I wouldn't bother with magic find much.
Also, once you hit act 2, there's a few transmutation recipes, where you could combine multiplie uniques oranges and get a random orange in replacement. I think that transmutation may work for blues and greens, but I havent tested it. Just tested oranges and oranges I didn't care about. I think legendaries may be level items give or take a few levels. But more magic find the less whites you'll have drop and more greens, blues, and oranges.
But that's common sense. I personally don't bother with magic find myself. Sometimes I'll have gear that has it, but it's never a priority stat for me. Privacy Policy Contact us. News Ticker. Also a heavy diminishing return and more balanced trade off maximun for mf would relieve a lot of 'player fruststration' if they know what to work with.
Partyplay has its incentives and that's something that's there. They are going against their own vision of PoE being a hardcore game made by hardcore gamers. With your solution the game would look like a loot pinata just like in Torchlight 2. With the solution i wrote they wouldnt have to make PoE more " casual ", but still benefit both casual people by making currency more available through trading yellow items to hardcore people.
And it would also benefit people that are tired of gimping themself with mf affixes and giving them an incentive to playing maps, because that would actually benefit them more than farming merc piety, by giving them both yellow item drops for luck orbs and the xp from the maps.
The last point surely may be debated as subjective opinion.
